She'll be coming round the mountain when she comes...

that's it! i'm moving to the olympic village mountain venue... eehhh... either tonight or tomorrow morning.... or not? absolutely no clue... why? because the italian doesnt seems to know either!!

it's been almost a week now since i arrived in torino - completely "cho-bo-ing" from 830am - 9pm... well, i did some work... but they are not related to the work i'm suppose to do here for the winter olympic! felt a little cheated of my 1 week in singapore, there is so much i could have done... going for BS, have teh-tarik with me friends... in case you think i'm complaining, i'm not lah! i do appreciate being here a little earlier than some others. it allows me time to slowly warm up (ya... warm up in cold weather country) before the actions kick in.

the italian boss gave me the weekend off (since i've got nothing to do) & so i went for the TOROC party with some overseas colleagues on friday night... or should i say midnight? yes, it's common here that party starts at midnight instead of the usual 9pm in singapore. we finished work at 9pm (what work?!), tapow pizza to a colleague's apartment for dinner, chit chat until 11.30pm before we drove to Rock City disco place. *Rock City reminds me of the Rock Auditorium... haha! the activities are different, of cos!* reached home around 3.30am... slept!

saturday morning, my overseas colleagues, who work at the MPC venue where the media, broadcasters are all located, brought me along & showed me the place. interestingly, TOROC (Torino Olympic Committee) turned an old Fiat car factory into a shopping mall & house the Media Press Center... so there is a multi-storey car ramp INSIDE the shopping mall because that's how Fiat drove all their newly manufactured cars up to the roof top! Of course, now no longer used for the car, but people walked on the ramp to get from floor to floor as they shop.

in the afternoon, we went to The Basilica of Superga where it's the artistic tombs of the House of Savoy Royal members (from 1732) & also the tragic crash of the plane carrying the "Grande Torino" Football team (1949). After which we planned to go to Baroque city for shopping... Then came a phone call from italian boss, telling me that i should move up to the mountain venue today! then they called to change the plan.... then another call to change plan again... then another change in plan... then another... then another... well, if you still don't get the picture of how unorganized & undecisive they are? i can fill up the whole blog post with change... change... change... haha!
