It's Saturday, again!

After being in Melbourne for 2 months now, everything seems almost a routine... Here i am, sitting in front of the pc in an internet cum convenient store, overlooking the not-so-busy Little Bourke Street, drinking a cup of latte from Starbucks, thinking of what to blog & typing my post. This has been so every saturday - plus/minus the cup of latte...

For the benefit of those who are wondering if i still drink a tall latte almost every other day like i used to do in singapore? The answer is no. Although initially, i thought i would if i bring my laptop to Starbucks for wireless internet surfing - thinking it would cost me only a cup of latte & i could get free access to the internet. How naive of me!? Nothing is free!

Surfing wirelessly in any coffee outlet such as Starbucks would require me to set up an account with Telstra, where they will charge me each time i sign in to use the internet via their server... The sum works out to be more expensive than going to the internet cafe across my apartment. The Starbucks tall latte here, however, cost cheaper than the price i paid in singapore (AUD3.45 vs SGD4.85 - approx. SGD0.40 savings!). And so the "best of both world" compromise: i buy a tall latte from Starbucks & walk to the internet cafe (btw, they don't sell coffee so it's ok with them that i bring my own) to surf!
