Lullaby for you...

Before i get more readers expressing their unhappiness of having sleeping disorder (insomnia) because i've not been updating my blog - aka their bedtime stories, here's one blog update for you sleepy readers back home!

Just the other night, i was in my apartment (alone of course!) & suddenly the fire alarm went off! As if a reliving trauma (like a post traumatic stress caused by my previous microwave incident in Melbourne) i quickly went about to check my stove, oven & microwave to see if i'm the cause of the commotion. Thank God, i'm not! *Phew!*

By then, the alarm got louder & louder.. i could hardly hear what Marie was saying to Robert in "Everyone loves Raymond" (comedy series)! Then i began to wonder, "could this fire alarm thingy be real?"... "just last month, a fire broke out in a hotel in Paris - killing 20 people!"... "i mean, it can happen to any serviced apartment too because some people just couldn't handle safe cooking!"... .... .....

Having all these thoughts, i looked out of the window to see if i can spot any smoke or fire coming out of the other apartments or any sign of hotel guests running out of their apartments - but nothing.. no sign.. nothing! Looking down, i was thinking again: "well, at least if i've to jump out of the window to escape the flames & choking smoke, i would definitely survive - it's only 2 storey high..." Btw, the serviced apartment i'm staying in, is maximum 2 storey high! Oooh... i will survive - the most with broken limbs! =P

Since the alarm was so loud i could not watch "Everyone loves Raymond" & my phone calls to the reception couldn't get through, i went downstairs to find out what's going on. When i reached the reception area in the main lobby, i saw fire engines with all its siren & blinking lights parked along the street, then 2 firemen - all geared up rushing in!

Probably the look on my face gave it away, a man in t-shirt & shorts (apparently, a hotel guest) quickly said to me in plain english: "False alarm, false alarm..." & hurried off leading the firemen to his apartment, which is next block to mine!

5 minutes later, i was watching TV again thinking to myself: "Boy, am i glad there is someone worst than me - who actually sets off the fire alarm because of bad cooking or raising smoke...hee!hee!"

** Erh... If you're still not asleep by now? Here's my conclusion & your cue to go to bed! **

2 days later, @ 8.30am the fire alarm went off again!! Sigh! Some guys just don't learn...
